First Aid At Work is the standard first aid qualification for large organisations or businesses carrying out more hazardous activities, such as chemical products.
The First Aid at Work training course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces to become a confident first aider at work. Giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations. All employers in the UK have a legal obligation to make First Aid provision for their employees.
This course follows the HSE FAW syllabus but with REC’s practical training approach to give an enjoyable and real world relevant experience. It is the standard course for large organisations or those who have been assessed as having a higher degree of health and safety risks.
The holder of this qualification can then be recognised as the First Aider at Work and is able to organise the first aid provision at work according to HSE guidelines.
From October 2013 HSE no longer directly approves first aid training and qualifications. But you can rest assured that REC qualifications meet all the HSE’s Due Diligence requirements for first aid training.
