Gorge Scrambling sees you working your way up and down rivers as they cut their way through the hills, making an adventure out of the features they create. It’s an action packed adventure from start to finish, with so many different ways of making progress through the gorge. You could be climbing up rocks, leaping into plunge pools, swimming across currents, sliding down rock flumes, crawling under boulders and even going through waterfalls to stand in behind them!
We can choose just the right gorge to give you exacly what you are looking for, be it an adrenaline filled challenge or a more family friendly exploration. Or if you are feeling even more adventurous then why not Try Canyoning; bigger challenges, deeper gorges, loads of waterfall abseils!
To ensure you get the most out of your activity, we ask that participants meet some minimum abilities.
- Being capable of swimming 25m with a buoyancy aid is preferred, but if not participants should at least be comfortable being in the water wearing a buoyancy aid.

For assessment courses that require logbooks or NGB registration, please ensure these are completed before the course commences.
For introductory activities, we provide all the activity and safety equipment you need. With more advanced courses you may be expected to have some of your own personal equipment; see the Kit List for information. Whether it’s the latest gear, great instruction or comfy accommodation, we aim to provide you with the best we can.

As well as the activity equipment, you can rest assured that our experienced instructors carry all the necessary group safety equipment, and are covered by a comprehensive insurance policy.
