Go coasteering with a little something extra; an awesome activity you can’t find anywhere else in the country!
The Chain Walk is completely unique and one of Scotlands best kept coastal secrets; a mix of coasteering, scrambling and Via Ferrata. The chains work their way along the coastal rocks in the tidal zone, so you’ll be traversing along ledges, scrambling over rocky outcrops, and exploring caves. And as it’s combined with coasteering you’ll get plenty of chance to jump into the water all the way along.
The changing tides mean that we can pick a level of challenge perfect for your group. And you’d better keep a good lookout for all the sea life along the route; not just in the rock pools but also seals ducking and diving right at the water’s edge!
If you want to keep your feet dry, then you can also do the Chain Walk as a Scrambling activity, using the chains to work your way along and exploring the exposed rocks and their pools.
To ensure you get the most out of your activity, we ask that participants meet some minimum abilities.
- Being capable of swimming 25m with a buoyancy aid is preferred, but if not participants should at least be comfortable being in the water wearing a buoyancy aid.
